Next month, Las Vegas-based vegan restaurant Vintage Vegan Diner is introducing the city’s first vegan vending machine. Co-founders Autumn (Tumn) and Taylor Riley-Parham created the vending machine in an effort to make plant-based food more accessible—at all hours of the day. The vending machine will carry Vintage Vegan Diner’s most popular items, which are frozen and ready to eat, including its new edible cookie dough, vegan turkey and cheese sliders, and tofu bites in four flavors.

Vegan vending across Vegas The Riley-Parhams plan to set up the vending machine in different locations around the city, as suggested by its customers, to help make plant-based food available to Las Vegas residents in different parts of the city. “We plan on having the machine pop up in different locations around Vegas, until it finds its forever home. Where do you want to see this?” Vintage Vegan Diner asked on Instagram. As Black vegans, the co-founders especially want to make sure that affordable, plant-based options are available in communities of color, lower-income communities, and inner cities where food deserts are common.

Vintage Vegan Diner first launched in May, offering vegan versions of all-American cuisine, such as collard greens, mac and cheese, and vegan chicken tenders. The restaurant currently offers online ordering with curbside pickup and delivery.
