Lehigh Valley restaurants offering Easter dinner for takeout

Easter celebrations will likely look a little different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Egg hunts have been cancelled, churches have transitioned services from in-person to online, and restaurants have made their traditional Easter brunches and dinners available for take-out only.

Whether you’re looking to take a break from the kitchen, struggling to find the necessary ingredients to make certain dishes or wanting to deliver an Easter meal to an extended family member with whom you can’t celebrate with face-to-face, dozens of Lehigh Valley restaurants are keeping the Easter spirit alive by offering holiday meals to-go. Here is a sampling:

3rd & Ferry Fish Market, Easton: Family-style meal includes 3 pounds of roasted brown sugar-glazed ham, whipped potatoes and gravy, green beans almondine, macaroni and cheese (add crab for $12), market salad and choice of Key lime pie or ice cream. The Beam Yard at Steel Club, Lower Saucon Township: Family-style meals include sliced glazed ham, hash brown casserole, mac and cheese, green beans, corn, rolls and 20 candy-filled plastic eggs. Copperhead Grille, Allentown and Upper Saucon Township: Family-style dinners, starting at $59.99 (feeding up to four people), include vegetable soup or garden salad; baked ham with side of pineapple fruit glaze or roast beef with side of beef au jus, chimmi, horseradish sour cream; two sides (bourbon-glazed baby carrots, bacon Brussels sprouts, steamed broccoli, sweet potato mashed with cinnamon butter and more); and baklava or rice pudding. Curious Goods at the Bake Oven Inn, Germansville: Easter meals, $70 for two people and $140 for four people include spring salad, Hartman’s honey orange glazed ham, Koch’s herb-roasted turkey, brown sugar-glazed sweet potatoes, green beans, baby carrots, Deitsch Eck’s blueberry peach crumb pie and more. Sides such as creamed dill cucumbers, mashed potatoes, herb bread stuffing and housemade potato rosemary bread also are available. Fiamma Italian Grill, Hanover Township, Northampton County: Easter specials, including chicken ($65/$120), veal ($85/$160), shrimp ($75/$140), available in a variety of styles (parmigiana, piccata, Francaise, Marsala, Florentine, fantasy, Milanese, scallopini and Cajun-Creole). Order any half or full tray and receive a half tray of pasta with sauce, half tray of house or Caesar salad and a half tray of garlic bread for free. Also, half trays include 10 mini cannolis and a 2-liter bottle of soda, while full trays include 20 mini cannolis and two 2-liter bottles of soda. Hotel Bethlehem’s 1741 on the Terrace: Curbside menu includes choice of two meats (herb-roasted chicken, braised short ribs in a cabernet demi-glace, slow-roasted salmon with a citrus ver jus and carved country ham with roasted pineapple chutney), sides (mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans and baby carrots), salad and desserts (chocolate mousse and coconut jasmine rice pudding with mango). All orders include rolls and sweet corn and crab chowder. The cost is $60 for 2 guests, $120 for 4 guests and $180 for 6 guests.
