We have one word for the food at Musikfest this year: Pizzaballs.

If you’re wondering what these are, they are crispy, deep-fried balls of rice stuffed with provolone, mozzarella and pizza sauce.

It’s just one of the new foods coming to Musikfest, which will run Aug. 5-14 on both the north and south sides of the Lehigh River.

ArtsQuest on Tuesday released the details of The ‘Fest food, which is almost as important as the musical acts and other activities. More than 30 food vendors are in the lineup this year.

Musikfest favorites that are returning this year:

Last year’s big favorite, Cubano X-Press is back with its Cuban-pressed sandwiches along with loaded Yucca fries and more.

Paper tickets for food and drinks are a thing of the past.

Just like last year, you’ll be able to pay for all your food and drinks using your debit or credit card as well as digital payments on the north side. The south side will also accept cash.

CashCards will also be available again. You can load the card using cash at booths throughout the festival. They are only good through the festival.

Musikfest is ArtsQuest’s biggest event, drawing nearly 1 million visitors every year. Headliners for the Wind Creek Steel Stage include Boyz II Men, Willie Nelson & Family, Poison, Ziggy Marley and Ja Rule and Ashanti.
